It has been a week since the powerful earthquake occurred in the country of Nepal. Many lives were lost and centuries old buildings collapsed. The aftermath of the earthquake is tragic. People who have lost their family and belongings are inconsolable. The rescue operations are still in progress. The soldiers from the Nepal army and volunteers from all around the world are involved in it. Landslides and rainfall are posing challenges to the rescue operations.
In this time of crisis, it’s our duty to pray for the people of Nepal. James 5:16 says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” Yes, God hears the fervent prayers of His children. Lets pray God to give wisdom and strength to the people who are involved in the rescue operations and remove the obstacles that they face. Lets pray God to comfort the people who are affected by this earthquake and give them the strength to endure these time of difficulties. May God restore normalcy in the lives of the people of Nepal.
